We used the knee pads in a tactical law enforcement setting, and although we were in a static position for hours they held up very well.  The knee pads has a spandex feel to it and can be adjusted by the two straps in the rear.  It was easy to run with the knee pads, and although we did not test the elbow pad version we are confident they would also handle strain with ease.
