SAFARILAND
RAPID LIGHT SYSTEM

The Safariland Rapid Light
System offers a great product for both law enforcement and
troops who need a multipurpose light, and we can assure you
it compromises very little. The light is LED (90
Lumens) and runs off of three AAA batteries and providing 50 hours light.
We have been testing this light for approximately six months
and are still using it every day. The light comes with
a unique plastic clip that slides onto your gun belt.
The clip that comes with the light is not the typical nylon
holder, and is more reminiscent of a picatinny rail that is
about 2 inches in length and about a half inch wide.
When the light is being stored on the gun belt it just
slides with the light facing down and locks into place when
you flip the light to either side. Once locked the
light is securely fastened and it will not come loose when
running, turning upside down, or wrestling with an adversary
(don't ask how we know this).
The gun light can be removed easily and placed onto a
handgun with the picatinny rail system. The light
secures to the gun in the same fashion and it slides onto
the rail with ease and is locked into to place when its
flipped to either side. We especially liked the fact
that the light is ambidextrous, and really found the light
useful in so many applications it is impossible to list them
all in this article.

The light also fit easily onto
a PT tactical helmet with rails, and onto our AR15 with the
rail system. For a single light we are able to use it
as a handheld flashlight, handgun light, AR15 light, helmet
light, and we even activated the light on our belt for
improved visibility at accidents.
