TRU-SPEC
XFIRE TACTICAL RESPONSE UNIFORM (TRU)
Is it time your police gear
or tactical gear goes digital? Tru-Spec
is a company that knows a thing or two
about digital camo and offers a durable and flame resistant
outfit for people who often find themselves nestled in the
woods and looking for the right gear to blend in.
We tested the TRU and found
the material to be the perfect blend to allow tactical
operators the freedom to move stealthily, and the durability
to withstand the romp thrashing through the woods. The
material felt like a pair of carhartt pants and older style
military BDU pants were combined.
The pants are button fly and
there is a string on the inside waist band to help adjust
the pants to a desired comfort level. We tied ours off
and found the new design is much better because the old
adjustable straps on many of the military pants would loosen
after everyday wear. Now you can get them to a
comfortable waist, tie off the inside knots and they fit
like a pair of custom cargo pants.
The
top was just as durable if not more. It had a really
tricked out zipper feature that allows you to zipper up from
the bottom and cover the center with a velcro flap.
the arms allow for patches to be attached with ease, and the
neck had a velcro strap closure that can be used to fight
off the elements or it can be attached to itself to be out
of the way to allow for better ventelation.
On
the chest is two slanted pockets with hook and loop for easy
closure. The top even has access on the inside of the
shirt to allow the operators to insert elbow pads if
tactical operations are known prior to heading out.
We can see a use for these
pants in a swat team environment, search and rescue, or just
a day on the range. For more information please visit
