FLIP - ULTRA
HD CAMCORDER
Police Gear needs to be
accessible at a moments notice, work in almost any
condition, and most of all be "cop proof". With so
many computer systems to navigate and technical attributes
of a law enforcement career the last thing an officer wants
to do is mess with a camcorder to record valuable footage.
FLIP turned the compact camcorder market on its ear with the
release of its super small and super easy camcorder.
The premise of the camcorder is to strip out all the bells
and whistles and allow people to capture video on something
that is nearly the size of a deck of cards.
We have been testing the FLIP for a few months and have
never even bothered to read the instructions (just kidding,
we read over them about a month after we were using it
though). The camcorder works incredibly well, and
fits nicely in the glove box with a department camera.
After recording the video, you want to just hit the switch on
the side of the camcorder and a USB "FLIPS" out allowing the
user to plug the camcorder into a computer.
Users can download the software onto the computer if they
wish to use the FLIP software, but ours worked great without
ever installing a driver. We just browsed the drives
and found it after it shows up (similar to how a camera
shows up).
Price is another huge bonus for this unit and we found them
online between $90.00 and $130.00. This sure beats
spending close to $1,000.00 on a camcorder that costs the
user valuable time in navigating features and loading the
videos onto a computer.
The camcorder shown above ULTRAHD records 60 minutes of HD quality
video and audio onto its hard drive, and has yet to fail us
in testing. Great product, and we cant wait to see
