BLACKHAWK CQB FLASHLIGHT HOLDER
Finding an open top flashlight holder might be harder than you think. Many kydex holsters and plastic holders are specific to a brand and will not accommodate a number of flashlights. The Blackhawk CQB Flashlight holder (shown above) is a viable option for those looking, and is useful for a number of popular flashlights.
We are currently carrying a Streamlight Strion LED and the combination is very efficient. We have combined an award winning flashlight with the Blackhawk holster. The flashlight is seated face down into the holster and "clicked" in toward the operators body. There is also an optional rubber strap that holds the light in place for added security for those who need it.
Using the holster we found the strap was not typically used when on the rear half of the duty belt (either behind the firearm or opposite and behind the front pocket on the other side. When officers decided to wear the light right up front it was beneficial to use the strap so the light stayed securely in place.
The holster also maintains light discipline if the light is accidentally left on and allows just enough light out to let you know to turn it back off (which we have not found to be an issue). For more information on the holster visit www.blackhawk.com
