SureFire is about to make some noise in the industry during March and April of 2011 with their latest offering of a high capacity magazines.  Many officers or troops engaged in a gun fight have conveyed just how fast rounds can be depleted when exposed to an imminent threat of danger or death.  SureFire has taken that critical information and decided to design a more efficient magazine.

The images shown are the SureFire - High Capacity 60 Round Magazine and it offers double the amount of ammunition than conventional 30 round magazines.  It is a nice balance of need vs. weight and allows law enforcement officials the ability to increase their effectiveness and avoid adding so much weight to the weapon that it becomes difficult to hold for extended periods of time.

SureFire has also designed a 100 round magazine, but we think the 60 round strikes a better balance due to its size and will integrate easier into existing plate carriers used by law enforcement and the military. 

Although we have not tested this magazine yet we are looking forward to its capabilities and believe it will reflect the quality and caliber of SureFire products we have tested in the past.  Until we can get our hands on a few for a video demonstration here is a teaser:
