If you associate Woolrich strictly with flannel patterned
shirts you may want to think again. Woolrich continues
to maintain their success by evolving and re-branding their
clothes to meet the needs of customers. The Elite
Algerian Field Jacket shown above is a formidable option as
clothing to wear around town and offers an incredibly
tactical approach.

The jacket is offered in black, brown, and green and has a
unique design. We had the opportunity to test the
jacket and can tell you first hand this field jacket can
hold a substantial amount of gear in the pockets.
Images do not do any justice for the jacket and we almost fit
enough to go camping for the night.
Construction of the jacket is durable, wear-resistant
9-ounce 100% cotton herringbone twill, with underarm vents,
drawstring bottom with cordlock and elastic cuffs with
adjustable button closure.
The closure system on the jacket is a partial zipper with a
flap that has velcro. The jacket intentionally has a zipper that starts just below
the mid point and zips all the way to the top. This is
intentional and allows individual the ability to pull the
bottom of the jacket apart (is held by velcro) to access a
firearm.
We see this jacket as a great option with some jeans or
casual cargo pants, and
undercover officers or off-duty individuals may really like the look if they need a
jacket that blends into the city.
Woolrich is now producing an entire tactical line, and
