HMMWV PROGRAM

If your a federal, state, or local law enforcement agency you can submit an acquisition for surplus military vehicles, weapons, and gear.  The unusual amount of quality HMMWV's are due to an overwhelming shift of branches to utilize the MRAP which provides a safer platform for IED explosives.   

In addition to low mileage vehicles, the military also has high caliber sniper rifles, personal protection equipment, and endless pallets of gear that can utilized by law enforcement agencies.  There are a few hoops to jump through to pick the gear up, but clicking a few links and faxing a few forms is certainly worth a vehicle that can handle storm details and rescue work for many years to come.
