There is a reason the Powerlock is one of the most sought
after multi-tools in the Market, and SOG has just made it
even better. Shown above is the SOG Powerlock 2.0
version and offers a total of 15 tools. Many
individuals carry a multi-tool on their duty belt and a
surprising number of people we know carry them both on and
off duty.

The multi tool arrived in a nice black case, and as soon as
we took it out the pliers were noticeably larger.
There is a nice locking feature called the Piano-lock that
enables the operator to isolate individual blades and tools.
One of the nicest features of the new 2.0 tool is the
compound leverage feature which is a patented gear type
mechanism that doubles the pressure when cutting things.
We decided to take SOG's challenge to see if their claim was
accurate, and we were delightfully surprised to see just how
much of a difference there was when using the SOG. The
tool no longer feels like a conventional multi tool, and
feels more like a full size pair of pliers or cutters.
All of the blades and tools on the device are a great
quality and just as you would expect from SOG. We even
put an unusual amount of pressure on the screw driver tip
with a channel lock when trying to remove a stripped screw
and the multi tool did the job with ease.
