POLICE TRAINING REVIEW
12.05.2010
BULLETPROOF MIND

Prolific
speakers have a way of standing out from others because they
often embody the ability to combine their subject matter knowledge
with a vision, and present it together in a quality
presentation. That was just the case during some
recent in-service training and Retired Col. Dave Grossmans
charismatic heartfelt presentation was insightful to say the
least.
Col. Grossman's resume is so
distinguished we could probably write a book just on his
accomplishments and the obstacles he has overcome during a
life of service to our great nation. Col. Grossman
started out as an Army Ranger and pushed his way
through the ranks to become a West Point psychology
professor, and Professor of Military Science. Col.
Grossmans published work has been nominated for the Pulitzer
prize, and he has testified before Congress numerous times
as a subject matter expert.
Training is offered in a number of
formats and can be tailored to almost any profession.
Col. Grossman travels approximately 300 days a year as he
passes along his knowledge.
His training sent a clear message to the
crowd that he was there to impart as much knowledge as he
could to help professionals make our society a safer place.
During the training he spoke about his work with schools
impacted by shootings, tools to help law enforcement deal
with stress, and what to expect in traumatic situations.
What we found most impressive was Col
Grossman's ability to relate with the 300+ cops that packed
the auditorium on a rainy day. Col. Grossman spoke
about fundamental attributes of family, the role of law
enforcement in society, and his predictions about the future
way of life as we know it.
