KAHR ARMS PM40 FIREARM
We test another compact firearm
for those officers that need to carry more of a punch in
their pocket. This is the KAHR ARMS PM40 chambered in
.40 caliber. The five round magazine is single stack
which means the bullets are not staggered. That
significantly narrows the profile of the gun if you like to
carry the weapon in your front pocket. The gun only
weighs 15.8 oz. and is very comfortable to carry
conventionally, in the waistband, front pocket, and in a
shoulder holster.
The photos illustrated above
are the KAHR ARMS PM40 (bottom) and the RUGER LCP .380
(top). Both are great options to carry, and allow
officers in warmer climates to conceal their firearm if they
are wearing just shorts and a t-shirt. We have tested
both guns extensively and as viable options we would not
want to be on the receiving end of either.
The KAHR is about double the price of the RUGER, but
preference is everything and if it means coming home safe we
recommend scraping together enough cash to make the
purchase. For more information visit
