Ford has stopped production on the Crown Victoria, and there is a natural gap for competing companies to jump into the game.  Chevy is ready and feels many of the attributes Ford has discontinued will be the very fiber that helps them fill more parking spaces at police departments across America.

Most likely to win the vacancy from Chevy is the Caprice, Tahoe, or Impala (shown above from left to right).  The Caprice is certainly a contender for agencies who still want to maintain the legacy setup of rear wheel drive, and the Tahoe is getting great reviews for agencies seeking an SUV that can take heavy abuse.
