The pouch is unique in that it has a removable / optional flap to protect the magazines from dust and debris.  If you do not need the flap simply remove it and have direct access to the magazines, and we can tell you from experience this setup configures the magazines efficiently to allow the operator an incredible amount of ammo at his or her fingertips. 

The magazine pouches are sold with either five or eight slots, and is offered in coyote brown (shown) or black.  We especially liked the mounting system on the rear of the magazine pouch and it will attach to either a belt (we recommend the five slot if you are using the belt) or a M.O.L.L.E. attachment that was a cinch to hook up to a chest / plate carrier or range bag.
