BUSHMASTER ADAPTIVE COMBAT RIFLE

The Bushmaster Adaptive Combat Rifle (shown above in several different configurations) may be a contender for the best police rifle of 2011 and is one of the most anticipated rifles in years for not only law enforcement, but tactical and recreational shooters as well.  In fact it is the recipient of the 2011 Shooting Illustrated Rifle of year.  So does that make it the best police rifle?  We aim to find and out and are anxiously waiting for the opportunity to shoot the rifle.  In the meantime we figured we would report the rifles are now being shipped to the endless number of gun stores who have been waiting patiently to get their hands on the new Bushmaster.

The rifle is a bit more money than a typical AR platform rifle, but it has the ability to quickly change barrel lengths, calibers, and stocks while keeping the base the same.  As a double bonus the rifle is available in A-TACS camo and should be a big hit for those looking for a rifle with a camo pattern that is sure to be around for some time.
